Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop May 2022- Color Challenge

Hello and thank you for stopping by the Ink & Inspiration blog hop for May 2022. You are currently visiting Krissi Hannahs blog from the USA; I am located in the panhandle area of Florida where summer is definitely here!  I hope you will hop along with the hop and gain some ideas for creativity and inspiration based on a color challenge or we could use the image provided to create as well. Here is the challenge photo we were given in order to become creative and inspired!

I have chosen to use the colors provided for my card today! I hope you will enjoy it. I used all of the colors that are listed in the photo above along with Basic White for my neutral color!  I layered it with a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and my base layer is Basic White!  The die sets I used for this card are the Beautiful Shapes Dies and the Amazing Thanks Dies. I actually did no stamping on this card!!!

I hope you like my card and how I used the picture for inspiration for the color challenge. Please feel free to hop along with the entire Hop to see how everyone else did as well! Thank you so much for stopping by today! We hop each month with different themes and color challenges!

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop-Masculine Theme- Waves of Inspiration

Thank you for joining us for our monthly blog hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! ® demonstrators from around the globe that participate monthly in a themed blog hop. This provides you inspiration and creativity from all around the world.  Our theme this month is Masculine cards, which for me can be hard to make. So this will push me out of my comfort zone a bit. You may have come from Julia's blog, and she shared a wonderful project with us! We hope you will make the complete hop with us and leave some comments, although those aren't required.

I decided to use the Waves of Inspiration stamp set for my Masculine themed card. My card base is Night of Navy and is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  My Sahara Sand layer is cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".  My Basic White layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for both outside and inside layers.  To get my multi-colored wave I first inked the Wave up in Bermuda Bay ink, and then taking a sponge dauber added some Night of Navy ink to the edges to make the wave two-toned and more real looking.  It reminds me of the water here in Florida at times.  I did the same thing with the pelican, inking first in Sahara Sand and then adding some Soft Suede with a dauber to give some dimension. The layers for the pelican are Sahara Sand cut at 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" and the Basic White is cut at 2 1/8" x 3 5/8". I popped this up using dimensionals after adding some Bakers twine around the bottom.  To finish off the front I added a few of the Brushed Metallic Dots and my sentiment and birds are stamped using Night of Navy.

For the inside I simply stamped my sentiment on Basic White using Night of Navy and added a few more of the birds.

I hope you enjoyed my version of a masculine card this month. Hopefully you will gain some inspiration and creative ideas throughout the rest of this hop as well.
