Technique Blog Hop- Crafty Collaborations- Scoring Techniques- Color & Contour Stamp Set

Thank you for joining us for our blog hop today! We are a group of Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators from around the globe who are here to share a project with you today to give you creativity and inspiration.  Technique Tuesday this week is featuring scoring as our technique! We hope you gain some inspiration and creativity on ways to use scoring in your card making!  Please contact your Demonstrator if you need to place an order after hopping with us and building your wish list.

I am featuring the stamp set Color & Contour for my card that will feature a scoring technique.  I have chosen to do Simple Stamping, which is simply Stamps, Ink and Paper!  I started with a Thick Basic White card base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  I then scored it 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" on the opposite of what would be my card front so the outer indent after scoring stood out on the front of my card.  I went from the bottom of the card base in my trimmer.  I hope that makes sense.  It just gives a nice detail to the card front as there is no layers on this card, just a simple stamping card.

I then stamped my sentiment in the bottom right of my card front in Memento Black Ink.  I then added three flowers to my card, using Highland Heather and Bumblebee ink.  For the inside I stamped off first before adding it.  I then stamped some leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink to finish off my card front.  You could always add some bling if you want or ribbon but I decided to keep this one simple for new beginners.

For the inside I stamped my sentiment in Memento Black Ink and then added the splatter stamp from the set in Highland Heather Ink across it.  I like how it turned out.

I hope you enjoyed my project I shared for you today and learned a new technique for scoring. It doesn't always have to be for our card bases and fun folds.  It can just add to a card front and be a simple addition. I hope you will hop all the way through our hop!  The complete list is below.
