Hello everyone and thank you for joining us on our Blog Hop this month! We have a lovely group of talented Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators from around the globe participating this month! We hope you enjoy our cards and projects this month and make the complete hop with us as we show you some inspiration for Female Thinking of You cards! You may have arrived from Julia's blog, and she shared a wonderful project with us today!
For my card today I chose to use the Floating & Fluttering and Happy Thoughts stamp sets from the Mini catalog and they are available until June 3rd! It does come with matching dies as a bundle, but I didn't use those today. I used Curvy Dies as well. I started with a Magenta Madness card base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 5 1/2". I cut both a basic black and 2 pieces of basic white piece of cardstock at 4" x 5 1/4". One piece of basic white is for the inside, and the other one I used the Curvy Dies to cut the white piece in two pieces. The edge that doesn't have the border, I then cut off 1/2" off the bottom so part of the black layer would come through.
I stamped my butterflies first in Memento Black ink, and then the two-step stampin' in Magenta Madness. I tip I learned is to line up the two-step pieces over top of the stamped images and then pick them all up on one block to stamp at once! Hope that helps you. I stamped the sentiments for both inside and outside with Magenta Madness ink.
I popped up the stamped white butterfly images on the basic black layer. I then added some Magenta Madness ribbon around that and adhered that layer to the card base. I then added Wink of Stella to all of the colored butterflies and some rhinestones around the sentiment to finish the card off.
I hope you have enjoyed my card I shared with you today for our Thinking of You girl themed cards this month. If you click the picture below, you will be taken to Shirley's blog and continue hopping along with me. Below that you will see the complete blog hop list where you can click on links to see everyone's projects as well.
