Hello and thank you for stopping by today! I decided to join this blog hop challenge and this is my first time participating in their monthly challenge! Check out StampingPals by clicking the name and join in the fun monthly challenges as well! I like that I have an entire month to submit a project around my busy schedule!
I chose to use the Forever Fern Stamp Set along with the Forever Greenery DSP for my card! I love this suite of products. My card base is Pretty Peacock, a soon to be retiring In-Color so if you love it now is the time to stock up! My other cardstock colors are Mint Macron and Basic White.
I chose to do what I call the Triangle Fold Card! You can make 2 cards out of one piece of your base cardstock! To start you will score on the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" and then turn to the 11" side and score at 5 1/2". Now to cut the card bases you need to remove the score blade from your trimmer. Then on the 8 1/2" side you will line up opposite corners of the cardstock in the trimmer track. Once lined up you will do the cut and have two card bases. I am posting a photo below of what it should look like in your trimmer. I learned this fold from another demo, Angie Juda and the video she did of this fold is featured by clicking on her name.
My Mint Macron layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and again cut like the card base above. For the DSP you will cut whichever pattern you choose to use and cut it to 3 3/4" x 5", but before you do place your DSP on top of the card base to ensure you are cutting it the right way for the pattern you choose! Because depending on your pattern is how you want to cut the 3 3/4" x 5" piece and then also how you cut it diagonal like the pieces above! Trust me on this I may have an extra few pieces of DSP laying around now that didn't work out! Then once cut simply adhere to the Mint Macron layer and adhere both of those to the card base.
For the front I used the largest stitched circle and cut one in basic white and one in vellum. On the Basic White Circle I stamped some of the leaves from the stamp set in Old Olive, Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. I layered the vellum over the top with glue dots in the middle. I then used a smaller stitched circle for my sentiment and stamped that in Mint Macaron. To adhere this to the card you only want adhesive on either lower left or upper right white circle, depending how you want your card to open! Just be careful otherwise your card won't open!
For the inside I stamped my sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Basic White piece of cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4". I stamped a few of the leaf images in Old Olive and Mint Macaron in the bottom left hand corner.
What a fabulous card, Krissi! Love that you've shared how to create it too! Thanks so much for playing along with the StampingPals this month! :)
