Hello everyone and thank you for joining us today for our monthly Blog Hop! We have talented Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators from around the world that are participating today! We hope you enjoy the hop and make the full circle to get some great inspiration for some Birthday cards, which is something we always need! You may have arrived from Julia's blog post and they made a wonderful project for all of us to gain some inspiration.
I decided to have a play with the Prettiest Birthday Stamp Set and Pretty Birthday Dies featured in the Mini Catalog. I started with a Card Base in Bermuda Bay, cut at 4 1/4"x11", scored at 5 1/2". My layer of Granny Apple Green Brights DSP is cut at 4 1/8"x5 3/8" and my Basic White Layer is cut at 4"x5 1/4".
On my Basic White Layer I stamped the balloons from the stamp set at top and bottom, and then colored with Stampin' Blends, both light and dark in Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, and Granny Apple Green. I stamped opposite directions to form like a frame almost. I adhered the white layer to the DSP and then took the Crinkled Seam Binding White Ribbon and colored it with the Light Bermuda Bay blend and wrapped it around before adhering the the center of the layers. I also took extra ribbon and tied a knot.
I then used the Stitched Nested Label Dies and Stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and used a scrap of basic white to stamp the cake from Prettiest Birthday and used the same blends from above to color it, but also added Wink of Stella to the cake part. I die cut the cake and popped it on the label with dimensionals. I also used dimensionals to adhere this to my balloon layer next to ribbon knot, centered on the card. To finish up the card front I added some champagne rhinestones for some bling.
For the inside, I stamped my sentiment from the Prettiest Birthday set and the flower set in Memento Black ink. I once again used the same blends on front of card to color the flowers in corner of the inside. I didn't blend, just colored with the inside images.
I hope you have enjoyed my project I shared with you today for a birthday card that you can make and have ready to send when you need one! When you click the next image below you will be sent to Joy Nelson's blog where I know you will have another great project waiting for you!
