Forever Fern Card for Swap Group

Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by today to see the latest card I made. I made this card for a swap I am in each month with fellow Stampin' Up! ® demonstrators here in the USA. We commit to this swap for 6 months at a time and this is the first month for this round. I love the inspiration I get each month from these fellow demonstrators.

I decided to use the Forever Fern stamp set from the Annual Catalog and paired with the the tasteful textile embossing folder and the tasteful Labels Dies.  My card base is Mint Macaron and is cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  The Mint Macaron layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and then embossed. My piece of Basic White on outside is 3 3/4" x 5" and the inside piece is 4" x 5 1/4".  You will also need a scrap of basic white and pretty peacock for the label dies.

I stamped the largest leaf with Pear Pizzazz twice at the top and twice at the bottom. I stamped once full strength and then moved over a bit and stamped again without re-inking my stamp.  **Warning** The middle is going to become a mess which is why the labels were used to cover it up!  I then did my next step with pretty peacock and did the exact same thing as I did with the large leaf in pear pizzazz.  For the smaller leaves I used mossy meadow and did each of those full strength for some boldness.  I used the little splatter stamp with mint macaron and just filled in around the stamped leaves.  I then adhered this layer with tombow glue to the embossed mint macaron layer. I took the mossy meadow twine from the Dandy Garden ribbon pack and tied it around both layers before adhering it to the card base. I did use tear tape to adhere the embossed layer.

The leaf on the label is done in pear pizzazz and my sentiment is done in pretty peacock.  I adhered the two die cut labels together after I stamped and popped those up over the mess from the stamped stems. No one will know it is there except who made the card! :)

For my inside I stamped my sentiment in pretty peacock again and then added each of the two small leaves on each side in pear pizzazz.

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  If I have inspired you and you want to make this card you can purchase all these items in my online store HERE. If you live in the USA and do not have a current demonstrator and need catalogs, please feel free to use the contact me button on my blog and I will gladly mail you some current catalogs!  You can see the whole list of supplies below as well.  Thank you for stopping by, comments are always welcome!
