Paper Crafting Blog Hop April 2020- Thinking of You

Thank you so much for joining our April Blog hop this month, featuring a theme of Thinking of you Girls!  We have talented Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators from around the world taking part in this special monthly blog hop.  You will see great projects from either the annual or mini current catalogs featured this month.  You may have arrived from Annette's  blog and her project was stunning and amazing!

I am featuring a stamp set from the Annual Catalog for you this month called Modern Heart! It is a stamp set designed by a Million Dollar Achiever Steffi Helmschrott. I knew I wanted this stamp set as soon as I saw it in the Annual Catalog as I love the geometric design and it has such beautiful sentiments in it as well.

I am also choosing to pair with with the soon to be retiring In-Color collection from 2018-2020 that will be retiring this June.  Those colors include Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Blueberry Bushel and Grapefruit Grove! I am really going to miss these colors as they are so vibrant and beautiful. I am featuring Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch, two of my favorites out of the 5.

My card base is in Lovely Lipstick, cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  For my first layer I am using Pineapple Punch that is cut at 4" x 5 1/4".  My basic black layer is cut at 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" and my shimmery whisper white layer is cut at 3" x 4 1/2".

For the Pineapple Punch layer I took the small heart from the stamp set and stamped it with Pineapple Punch ink along the bottom edge for a tone on tone look. I used Vellum and Versamark ink to stamp my large heart and heat embossed it with the shimmer black embossing powder and used my heat tool to emboss it. I then fussy cut that heart out which is very easy to do.  I used the big watercolor image for the background of the heart and stamped it off first for a lighter effect using Lovely Lipstick ink.

For my sentiment I chose to use the one from this set and place it in the lower right side of my whisper white.  To finish off the front of the card I used my the In-color enamel dots to bling it out a bit. I used dimensionals to adhere the black layer to the Pineapple Punch layer, and tombow glue for all other layers.

For the inside of the card I simply stamped that small heart again along the bottom alternating with Pineapple Punch and Lovely Lipstick inks.  I wanted plenty of space to write a message to a friend during this time. I used a piece of Shimmery Whisper White Cardstock inside that measures 4" x 5 1/4".

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and each month. We love for you join us and gain creativity.  Now click below to hop to the next spot in the hop which is Shirley back at the beginning!  See you all next month.
